Kaylea Marberry

PCA

Professional Counselor Associate

Hello my name is Kaylea (pronounced Kay-Lee-Ah) and it is nice to meet you!  My pronouns are She/Her.

Seeking therapy can be an unnerving task. It can be scary to open up to a stranger about personal thoughts, feelings and experiences. My
goal as a therapist is to create a welcoming and safe environment for clients to be able to fully experience themselves and reflect on their lives. I encourage clients to embrace their truths and build up their confidence over the course of treatment by both validating and providing areas to look deeper in sessions.

During sessions, I utilize an integrative approach with a person-centered lens.  I emphasize unconditional positive regard and being authentic as a therapist.  Additionally, I use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Gestalt therapy.  Depending on the individual and their therapeutic goals, I may use some or all of these techniques as well as others as needed.

I am a Registered Professional Counselor Associate (PCA #R9689) with the State of Oregon’s Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists and I hold a master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Western Oregon University. I have experience working with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and ages and I have worked in the mental health field since 2019. I make an effort to meet my clients where they are at in their healing journey, and am mindful of all the factors that can impact us as humans, present, past and future which informs my work as a trauma informed therapist.

In my free time I enjoy spending time outside with family or catching up on my favorite tv shows.

I look forward to working with you!
