At WWC, we want you to know that you are not alone, and the people who work at these centers in Oregon and Washington want you to reach out if you are struggling.

Psychiatric Emergency Service (PES) is an emergency department for adults age 18 and older. For adolescents and children age 17 and under experiencing a mental health crisis, please go to Unity Center.

  • EL PROGRAMA HISPANO CATÓLICO – PROJECT ÚNICA / 503-232-4448
    Project UNICA is a bilingual crisis line 24/7 for survivors of interpersonal violence. Staff and trained advocates provide crisis intervention, emotional support, safety planning, shelter or motel advocacy, information about protective orders, and assistance in identifying appropriate resources and referrals. The crisis line also serves as an access point for the rest of UNICA’s services, such as safety planning help and legal advocacy.

    Rose Haven is a drop-in day shelter and community center specifically serving women, children, and gender-diverse people in Portland. The site has nutritious food, water, emergency clothing, diapers, wipes, hygiene & menstrual products, rain and outdoor gear, mail service, pet food and other needed items. It also offers showers, bathrooms, and handwashing sinks. They provide outdoor supplies including tents, tarps, sleeping bags. There is financial support available for medical emergencies, storage fees, rental applications, utility bills, phones, transportation, and education + employment costs.

    Raphael House of Portland is a 24/7 crisis line for support with interpersonal violence. Raphael House has emergency shelter and advocates who can help with safety planning and accessing resources. They offer ongoing support for housing, community support, legal advocacy, and financial advocacy, services for children and youth, and prevention education.

    Home Free is a crisis Hotline advocates can provide emotional support, safety planning, referrals to community resources, assistance with relocation, and connection to address confidentiality programs. Crisis Hotline advocates can also connect survivors to emergency motel vouchers, referrals to housing services, and safety and stabilization assessments when available.

    Restraining Order advocates can answer questions from survivors and community partners around completing restraining order paperwork, options for filing petitions and appearing at court hearings, restraining order violations and enforcement, and service of restraining orders. Advocates can also assist with safety planning and provide information and emotional support. Advocates are not attorneys and cannot provide legal advice.

    JOIN PDXs Day Space, or House, is open for modified services on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12 pm – 4 pm. Friends who are visiting will have access to mail, portable bathrooms, hygiene items, and nutritional support (sack lunches, snacks, coffee, water, etc.) through our ADA entrance at 1435 NE 81st Ave, Portland. Showers are available on a first-come-first-serve basis when the Day Space is open.

Changes provides basic financial assistance for initial community housing move-in costs such as a security deposit, application fee and cleaning fee and case management support for youth who are ready to live on their own.

    Impact NW is an organization that provides a safety net for families in crisis, with services that connect them to housing and energy assistance while supporting them as they move toward independence. Offers direct assistance as well as referral for other support services.
